Lady Gaga, left, has been caught up in Keisha's defamation suit against Dr Luke
The singer has been summoned to testify in a high-profile defamation suit between US pop singer pal, Kesha and embattled music producer Lukasz Gottwald aka Dr Luke.
In 2014 Kesha filed a complaint alleging Dr Luke emotionally and physically abused her.
She also sought to invalidate her recording contracts with him.
He filed a countersuit, accusing her of defamation. In 2016, Kesha dropped her sexual abuse claims, while Dr Luke’s defamation suit against her continued.
Luke, 43, wants Gaga, 31, to discuss text messages sent between her and Kesha in which the 30-year-old singer stated she was abused by him. A statement from Dr Luke’s lawyer, reads:
“She has relevant information regarding, among other things, false statements about Dr Luke made to her by Kesha [imploring Gaga to join a] smear campaign against [Dr Luke].”
According to Luke's lawyer, Lady Gaga has relevant information including false statements about him
Gaga’s team has hit back, stating: “She has provided all of the relevant information in her possession and is at most an ancillary witness in this process. Dr Luke’s team is attempting to manipulate the truth… by exaggerating Lady Gaga’s role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests.”
The star had joined an army of celebrities in supporting Kesha, including Adele – who in her acceptance speech at 2015’s Brit Awards stated that she stood by Kesha – and Taylor Swift, who donated £250,000 towards the singer’s legal costs. Gaga once stated:
“I feel like she’s being very publicly shamed for something that happens in the music industry all the time, to women and men.” Gaga also promoted the “Free Kesha” campaign on social media.

WITH hugely popular series Game Of Thrones now in its seventh and penultimate series, one of its stars fears his mates won’t pop round for a TV binge when the show ends. Jerome Flynn, 54, who plays Bronn – a low-born sellsword, or mercenary, of great skill – says: “It’s going to be really sad not to sit down with my mates. We have a Thrones night on Monday when I’m at home.”
He came to prominence with fellow actor Robson Green, as hugely successful 1990s pop duo Robson & Jerome, the brainchild of Simon Cowell, after they’d starred in ITV military drama series Soldier Soldier. However Jerome admits he enjoys being as startled as his chums by the fantastical twists and turns of the GoT plots.
“Which is why I try not to read too much of the script. We just love watching it. There’ll be lots of wonderful things but there won’t be anything quite like Thrones.” What, not even Soldier Soldier?
KATE HUDSON is not ageing gracefully. The 38-year-old actress admits she’s struggling with getting closer to being a “woman of a certain age”. Not mincing her words, she says: “Ageing sucks.
It’s like a double-edged sword, because you accept that your body starts to change and gravity takes over and, as that’s happening, you gain a sense of wisdom and get more comfortable with who you are…”
Kate, who followed in actress mum Goldie Hawn’s footsteps into a career in Hollywood has clearly not embraced the evergreen 71-year-old’s zesty approach to getting older. “I’m all for the creams and the lasers and longevity.
I’m not going to lie: I’m one of those women who, if there’s a fi lter, I’m using it.
“If someone asked: when would you have liked to have stopped ageing, it would have been about 29.”
Fear not, Kate, you don’t look a day over 30.

REBECCA AIMS TO SHAPE UP WITH STRICTLY
Rebecca Adlington wants to show off her fancy footwork in Strictly. The former Olympic swimmer – who previously took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! – wants to hit the ballroom floor once her two-year-old daughter Summer has grown up a bit.
“Strictly is the only one I’d do now,” she replies when asked about participating in reality TV shows. “It is a demanding show and difficult with kids and work… when Summer is older.” The 28-year-old – who split from Summer’s father, Harry Needs, last year and will next hit our screens on Celebrity MasterChef – would welcome the opportunity to dance her way back to athletic form.
She told OK!: “I have a kangaroo pouch and no matter how much I exercise or eat well, it’s still there… I do little workouts with Summer because I want to show her I’m being healthy
