WARNING: The following article contains spoilers from episode three of Game of Thrones season seven.
During the latest episode fans were left stunned as Queen Cersei (played by Lena Headey) gave Tyene Sand (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) a poison kiss.
She locked the Sand Snake in a prison cell with her mother before delivering the fatal kiss meaning Ellaria (Indira Varma) would be forced to watch her daughter slowly die.
Fans of the show will know that a poison kiss was how Cersei's daughter Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) was tragically killed at the end of season five of the hit HBO series.

Ayra Stark kills Walder Frey in the season 6 finale
But while many were left speechless by the scenes, the torture methods were not too dissimilar to those that have been used by a previous ruler of Westeros.
During Robert's (Mark Addy) Rebellion, the Mad King murdered Ned Stark's (Sean Bean) father Rickard (Wayne Foskett) and brother Brandon after they attempted to save his sister Lyanna (Aisling Franciosi) from Rhaegar Targaryen.
And the way in which he killed them was not pleasant as he forced Brandon to helplessly watch his father die.
The Mad King suspended Rickard, who was wearing a full suit of armour, above a flame in the Throne Room while Brandon was tied up with a rope around his neck and a sword just out of reach.
As he reached for the sword, he strangled himself as his father was burnt alive in the metal suit.

Game of Thrones: Will Jaime kill Cersei like he murdered the Mad King?
Following the brutal death, the Mad King was killed by Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who became known as the Kingslayer.
With Cersei seemingly following in the Mad King's footsteps, does this confirm that Jaime will slay the Queen?
It certainly seems as though the Game of Thrones' showrunners are dropping hints about the royal's demise as a scene in episode one of the latest run appeared to confirm a popular theory regarding how she would be killed.
