Coronation Street: Michelle is blissfully unaware of the extent of Robert's antics
Robert (played by Tristan Gemmill) landed himself in even more hot water with his patient partner during tonight’s two-parter of the ITV soap, as Michelle (Kym Marsh) caught him gambling with his “remaining £300”.
But while Michelle struggled to regain her trust for the man with a chequered past, as she finally told him she was starting to feel safe again – following the dramatic Bistro firebomb attack – Robert continued to spin a web of lies.
After Michelle’s car was smashed into in tonight’s episode, the restaurant owner paid £400 to get it quickly repaired in an attempt to protect his love and hide the real danger she is in, who still has no idea that madman Rich is still making threats to his old friend.
As Michelle snuggled up into her beau’s arms after the tough day, none the wiser, she was willing to forgive him for his indiscretions and move on, unaware of the full extent of his complicated mess.

Maybe everything’s going to be ok
“Maybe it’s the wine but I’m starting to feel so much better now, you’ve paid Chesney off, there’s been no more threats, I can see daylight.
“Maybe everything’s going to be ok,” Michelle said in her ignorance.
But as Robert took a deep breath and responded: “Yeah it is, I promise,” it was clear the pair are headed for a tumultuous journey that could tear them apart.
Meanwhile, tonight’s episode also saw Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) surprise his friends and crush Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) with the news that he didn’t lose his job in the police force.
