Coronation Street: Bethany is about to face fresh horror from her ordeal with Nathan
Bethany (played by Lucy Fallon) has been struggling to cope since her escape from evil sex ring leader Nathan (Chris Harper), but things were starting to look up when her best friend and Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) stepped in and convinced her to tell the police everything to get the men – along with sex predator Neil – arrested.
But as Craig faces potential elimination from his job with the force for his tactics in helping the 16-year-old, Mel (Sonia Ibrahim) – who was last seen helping Nathan lure Bethany into his ring and refusing to help the teenager escape her torment – comes back into the picture and kidnaps Bethany in a horrifying plot twist.
In harrowing new pictures of the cast filming on-set, Mel can be seen gripping Bethany’s long blonde hair between her fist as she raises a crowbar that’s presumably about to land across her face.
It is unclear where the ice cold Mel has taken a terrified Bethany, but train tracks are visible in the background.

Nathan’s dangerous accomplice can also be seen peering out of a window holding a phone, as she looks set to put her impending plan in action.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that amid the difficult times, Bethany could be forced to testify in court against her abusers.
When DC Leigh (Marie Critchley) visited the survivor at home to give her the news, Bethany was devastated at the prospect.
“Will I have to testify at trial?” Bethany asked emotionally.
