In a series of rounds, the players – who include Jodie, a recruitment consultant, Jon, an estate agent, and Darren, a police officer – fight to build up their pot of money and cash trap each other by getting questions right.
But some viewers found the procedure “confusing” and voiced their ache for Bradley’s more popular show on Twitter.
“I think poor Bradley Walsh has got lost and wandered into the wrong TV studio, this is not @ITVChase,” one person posted, as another said: “Cash Trapped sucks #bringbackthechase.”

Some fans weren’t so quick to condemn the gameshow however, with many willing to support their favourite host.

A third praised: “@CashTrapped love this show and the fantastic #bradleywalsh.”
